Louie E. Garvin

Graveside services for Mr. Louie E. Garvin, Jr. will be held Friday, August 21, 2009 at 11 AM in Bethany Cemetery, Aiken, SC, with Rev. Julian Boles officiating.

Mr. Garvin, 85, of Aiken, SC, died Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center, Augusta.

Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Louie and Florence McLendon Garvin, Sr., He was a lifelong resident of Aiken and member of Aiken's First Baptist Church. He proudly served his country in the Army.

He is survived by his sisters, Mary Sizemore, Aiken, SC and Pat Oehlert, Jasper, FL; a nephew, Michael Edward Pringle, Kitty Hawk, NC; a niece, Debra Mazur, Watkinsville, GA, best friend, Ollie Herron, special friends and extended family, Bridget Gleaton, and Martha House. His sister, Peggy Garvin Pringle and Marion Garvin Wadell, preceded him in death.
