Mabry Padgett

Mabry Verdine Padgett, 61, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 29th, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home.

Mr. Padgett was born in Newberry, SC, a son of the late Charles Broadus and Ella Mae Steele Padgett. He was an avid gardener, mechanic, racer and comedian.

Surviving are his daughter, Ameila Padgett; son, Michael Paul McCormick; and grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters, Myrna Padgett, Rita Smith, Lathan Padgett (Debbie), Jenny Wertz (Keith) and Randy Padgett (Angie); and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Wendell Smith; and a nephew, Josh Temple.
