Mae Grooms Cogdill

Funeral services for Mae Grooms Cogdill will be held Tuesday June 10, 2008 at 1pm at the Chapel of George Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Inc. 211 Park Avenue SW, Aiken with Rev. Charlie Barrett officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 2648 Jefferson Davis Hwy. Friends may visit at the funeral home Monday evening from 6pm to 8pm.

Mrs. Cogdill, 78, of Aiken, died Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Medical College of George, Augusta, GA. She was born in Cross, S.C. a daughter to the late Jabe and Irma Cross Grooms. Mrs. Cogdill and her husband, the late John Calvin Cogdill, moved to the Aiken area in 1955. They were lifetime founding members and very active in the Trinity Methodist Church. She loved her family, friends and BINGO.

Mrs. Cogdill is survived by one son; J.C. Cindy Cogdill, Aiken SC, and one daughter Eunice C.Bill Hires, Windsor, SC, seven grandchildren and a host of friends.
