Margaret Eleanor Cato

Funeral services for Miss Margaret Eleanor Cato will be held at 3pm on Sunday, July 1, 2007 at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken with Rev. Jack Hasty officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, Monetta. The family will receive friends from 2pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Miss Cato, 78, of Aiken, died on June 24, 2007 at her residence.

A daughter of the late Broadus Cato and Ella F. Eubanks Cato, she was born in Monetta and was a life long resident of Aiken County. Her career as an educator is noted by numerous recognitions, honors and committee appointments. She began her teaching career in 1949, at Windsor High School. Then, in 1953, she came to the Aiken High School and taught thousands of students until her retirement.

She is survived by an aunt, Dorothy Eubanks, Augusta, GA and 4 cousins from the Cato/Fox family and 17 cousins from the Eubanks family.
