Margaret Mcnamara

Margaret Emma Martin McNamara, 99, died Sunday, July 13, 2008 at Azalea Woods Nursing Home in Aiken. Born March 23, 1909 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Martin and the late Rose Kohl Martin. She was a communicant of St. Thomas More Church in Bethel Park, PA, and St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Aiken. Mrs. McNamara was a member of the Daughters of Erin and was active with the St. Elizabeth's Senior Citizen's Group. She moved to Aiken 6 years ago to be with her daughter.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Eileen and Carl Sossman of Aiken; son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Mary Jo McNamara of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Michael McNamara, E. Logan Sossman, Daniel McNamara, John McNamara, Kristen Sossman-Strnad, Molly Spatera, and Kerry Price, and 8 great-grandchildren.

A memorial mass for Mrs. Margaret McNamara will be celebrated at a later date at St. Thomas More Church in Bethel Park, PA. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Avenue, SW, Aiken is assisting the Sossman and McNamara families.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Building Fund of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Post Office Box 438, Aiken, SC 29802-0438 in memory of Mrs. McNamara
