Margie H. Gabriel

Funeral Services for Margie H. Gabriel will be held Saturday, February 24, 2007 at 2pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW with Rev. Michael Dyar officiating. Interment will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be directed to The American Heart Association.

Mrs. Gabriel, 79, of Aiken, died Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at Eden Gardens, Aiken.

A daughter of the late Walter P. and Iona Redd Howie, she was a life long resident of Aiken County. Mrs. Gabriel was retired as an accountant for the Aiken County Hospital, where she had worked for over twenty years. She was a member of South Aiken Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Henry "Red" Gabriel, who died in December of 2006 and two sisters; Lucy Fulmer and Jean Haynes.

Mrs. Gabriel is survived by two sons; Thomas Richard "Dickie" Gabriel, Montmorenci and Kenneth Gabriel, Aiken, and a daughter; Betty M. "Lynn" Tollison, Clearwater, SC, She is also survived by four grandchildren; Kristin Bodie, Jason Gabriel, Mitchell Gabriel and Chloe B. Gabriel and two great grandsons.
