Marie Zink Jones

Mrs. Marie Z. Jones ?Babe? of N. Charleston, SC died Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Life Care Center of Charleston at the age of 87 years old.

Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late John Charles and Bertha Curran Zink. She had lived in Aiken for over 50 years before moving to N. Charleston a year and a half ago. She was a member of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Aiken. In her youth, she was an avid golfer and socialite, later in life she helped a number of charitable organizations and was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, John Robinson Jones and brother, John Charles Zink, Jr.

Graveside services for Mrs. Marie Zink Jones will be held Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Calvary Cemetery in Aiken, SC. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center is assisting the family.

In place of flowers, donations in Mrs. Jones name may be made to any of her favorite organizations; Aiken County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, University of South Carolina Aiken, the Hitchcock Foundation, Tri-Development Center of Aiken County, Inc., and the Salvation Army.
