Mark Allen Shealy, 64, left us to begin his next great adventure with the Lord on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles F. Shealy, and his mother, Barbara A. Johnston.
Mark studied Computer Programming at Midlands Technical College and completed the Clemson Master Gardening Program. He worked in the roofing industry for thirty years, where he bid and sold jobs, ordered supplies, and managed an experienced crew. He was known for his dedication and often worked sixteen-hour days. In his free time, Mark also enjoyed freelancing in landscaping.
Mark’s favorite people were animals. He always had a spoiled dog by his side and was never without a few aquariums running. It was his wish for his aquariums to be gifted to people who would give them good homes—something that brought joy to several others. He also left behind more than one hundred houseplants, and the gardens he created remain truly magical.
Mark is survived by his brother, Chase Shealy (Deborah) of Lexington; niece, Alexa Shealy of Lexington; aunt, Bennie Mathews; dear friend, Nela Morales; and his forty-seven-year friend and close neighbor, Windy Goff Beck.
A private service has been held.
