Martha A. Lanza-Strode

A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Martha "Marti" A. Lanza-Strode will be celebrated on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 12:30pm at St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, Avenel, NJ and a memorial service will be held on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 1:30pm at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at a reception at Mead Hall. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center is assisting the family. Mrs. Lanza-Strode, 62, of Aiken, died Saturday, November 28, 2009 at her residence.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of Ernestine Sbordone Lanza and the late Andrew Lanza. Marti lived in Delaware and New Jersey before moving to Aiken in 2000.She was a manager in the Labor Dept for the state of New Jersey. Marti attended St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church, Aiken.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, John P. Strode, II, daughters, Andrea L. Strode and Destiny H. Strode, both of Aiken, sisters, Nancy Myers and Annette Zsamba, brothers, Anthony Lanza, and Neil Lanza all of New Jersey.
