A Funeral liturgy for Mary Cecelia Hyslop will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2006 at 2pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken, SC. Pallbearers will be Kenny Brown, David Brown, Patrick Wilson, Bill Bond, Roger Ward and Jeff Wilson. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Aiken. Visitation will be on Friday from 6-8pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 6:40pm. Memorial donations may be directed to the charity of your choice.

Mary Cecelia Dean Hyslop, at the age of 98, has entered into eternal life and received her angel wings on January 11, 2007. She was born on September 5, 1908 in the hollows of Montgomery, West Virginia. She was a beloved daughter of the late Alfred and Rose Lynch Dean. She was preceded in death by her husband Alexander Hyslop, two daughters, Patsy Hyslop and Rose Mary Hyslop and a son, Scotty Hyslop. She is survived by two daughters, Frances Bill Brown and Debbie Dixon, both of Aiken; a son, James Alan Corkey Hyslop of Odenton, MD; and a daughter-in-law, Peggy Hyslop of Prescott Valley, AZ. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Hyslop worked as a nurse's tech and later became an LPN while in WV. After moving to Aiken, she worked for the Aiken Standard circulation department. She was also a homemaker, as well as a loving mother and grandmother.
