Mary S. Rowe

Mary S. Rowe, 81, of Batesburg, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2026. Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Clarence Sharpe and Macey Sharpe. Mary was married to the late Grady Rowe, Sr. She enjoyed the simple things most, making her regular trips to Walmart, sometimes more than once a day, going for a ride, and taking in the beauty of the mountains.

She is survived by her children, Donna Berry, Grady Rowe, Jr. (Georgie), and David “Scrap” Rowe (Missy); grandchildren, Lee, Austin “Buck,” Ashley, Anna, Macy, Sabrina, Ryan, Jonathan, and Alicia; and great-grandson, Hunter. She is also survived by her sister, Nina Caughman. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Ann Chapman; son, Wayne Sharpe; and siblings, Billy Sharpe, Gail Wilson, and Nancy Cook.

A memorial service for Mary will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 25th, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Batesburg-Leesville Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
