Matthew Morgan Kahler, 68, of Gilbert, SC, and formerly of Gravette, AR, passed away on March 3, 2026. Matthew was born on February 27, 1958 to the late Reverend Joseph Albert Kahler and Lucie Garrick Kahler in Highlands, NC.
Matthew is survived by his brother and sister in law, Tony and Ruth Ellen Kahler; nephew, Barry Kahler; and great nieces, Allison Kyzer (Travis) and Jennifer Fryland (Christian). He is also survived by great nieces, Leah Kyzer, Madeline Kyzer, Eleanor Fryland, Hannah Fryland and great nephew, Henry Fryland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Barbara Kahler.
A service to celebrate the life of Matthew will be held at 11 o’clock on Saturday, March 7th, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Reverend Dennis Metts will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service. Active pallbearers will be: Barry Kahler, Travis Kyzer, Christian Fryland, Boyd Davis, Jeff Smith and Nick Hallman.
