A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Michael A. Polochko will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Latrobe, PA on Wednesday. Interment will follow at Unity Cemetery, Latrobe. The John Lopatich Funeral Home, Latrobe, PA 724-537-2001....www.lopatich.com is assisting with PA arrangements.

A memorial service and gathering is scheduled for Saturday, August 2nd beginning at 6pm at Woodside Plantation Clubhouse, Aiken. The family will also receive friends at the clubhouse immediately after the service.

Memorial donations may be made to "Kyle's Autism Challenge Fund, C/O Southern Bank & Trust, 1001 Pine Log Rd. Aiken, SC 29803. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW is assisting the family. Mr. Polochko, 55, of Aiken, died Saturday, July 12, 2008 at University Hospital in Augusta, GA.

Born in Latrobe, PA he was the son of Michael & Mary Semanchek Polochko. He had been a manager at the Savannah River National Laboratory since moving to Aiken in 1989. A devoted husband and father, Mike was also an outdoorsman, hunter, golfer and a good friend to many. He was a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Aiken and a member of the Men's Golf Association of Woodside Plantation.

Mike is survived by is wife of 23 years, Laurie Hollick Polochko, Aiken; a daughter, Emery Polochko, Aiken; his parents, two sisters, Elaine Bob Rogers, Latrobe, PA and Marilyn Chuck Thompson, Somerset, PA; four sisters in law, Renee Ernie McCleary, New Alexandria, PA, Michele Jim Donofrio, Venetia, PA, Elaine Kip DeGlau, Latrobe, PA and DeAnn Wayne Weaver, Morgantown, WV and a brother in law, Ed Mayra Hollick, Ligonier, PA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
