Mildred Bernice Pinney

Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Bernice Pinney will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 1pm at First Christian Church, Aiken. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12pm until the hour of service at the church. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave, SW, Aiken is assisting the family. Mrs. Pinney, 93, of Aiken, Died Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Azalea Woods.

Born in Bethany, MO, she was the daughter of the late Ruben and Iva Mae Whitehead Thompson. She moved to Aiken in 1988 from Chelsea, OK. She was a member of First Christian Church and the Christian Women's Fellowship. She loved to sew and was devoted to her church.

Mrs. Pinney is survived by her sons, Edson E Penny Pinney, Windsor, SC; Rev. Herbert Dale Melba Pinney, Los Cruses, NM; daughters, Nancy Gail Clyde Kendall, Claremore, OK; Ann Johnny Cloud, Colcord, OK; Bonnie Sue Jim Brooks, Weatherford, TX; ten brothers and sisters, twenty nine grandchildren, fifty great grandchildren, and numerous great great grandchildren.
