Funeral Services for Mrs. Mollie Weeks McClain will take place on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 2pm at Green Pond Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Timmerman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to the Green Pond Baptist Church Building Fund, American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6-8pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken.

Mrs. McClain, 78, of Jackson, died Sunday, March 21, 2010 at UniHealth-PAC, Aiken.

A daughter of the late Constantine "Brownie" Weeks and Alice Barnhill Weeks, she was a life long resident of Aiken County. She had worked as a private duty, home health care nurse, but was loved for being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She was a good cook and was always quick to get food to the family that had a need in the community. She was also well known for bringing food for her physicians. An avid BINGO player, she also enjoyed all things cat. She was a long time member of Green Pond Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, George G. McClain, a twin sister, Pollie and two brothers, Charles and Robert.

She is survived by three sons, George Ray Sharon McClain, Jackson, William Gerald Vickie McClain, Jackson and Gary Eugene McClain, Jackson; a sister, Jana Ken Barton, Aiken and six grandchildren, Troy Amy McClain, April Mike Brown, Tammy Daniel Brown, Heather McClain, Duran Becky McClain and Mallory McClain. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
