Morgan Gabrielle Friederich, 30, of Batesburg, South Carolina, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 23, 2026. Born in Mena, Arkansas, on May 17, 1995, Morgan grew up surrounded by siblings in a lively, loving home.
She graduated from Gilbert High School in 2013 and later earned a dog grooming certificate, reflecting her deep love for animals. Morgan most recently worked at Walmart in Lexington, SC and was a faithful member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church. Her passions included singing, drawing, reading, and caring for animals, whom she loved as her own children. Morgan also had a special gift for listening and offering comfort to others, always making room in her heart for one more soul in need.
Known for her radiant smile and contagious joy, Morgan touched countless lives with her kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit. She will be remembered for the love she freely gave and the warmth she brought wherever she went.
Morgan is survived by her parents, John Friederich and Kathy McBride-Friederich of Batesburg, SC; biological mother, Teresa Alphin of Washington State; sister, Polly McClain of Mena, AR; brothers, Lee, Jeff, and Zavie Friederich of Batesburg, SC; grandparents, Tom and Mavis McBride of Leesville, SC, and Eugene Friederich of Palm Harbor, FL; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, a niece, a nephew, and many cousins who will forever cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Carmelita Friederich of Palm Harbor, FL, and maternal grandparents, Roy & Dorothy Jameson of Mena, AR.
The Celebration of Life will be held at 11 o'clock on Saturday, January 31st at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Batesburg-Leesville Chapel with burial following in Ridge Crest Memorial Park. Pastor Mike Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock on Friday, January 30th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Batesburg-Leesville Chapel. Serving as pallbearers will be: Isaac Friederich, Brian Friederich, Thomas McBride III, Jared Gwyn, Cayden Merryman and Jack Merryman. Honorary pallbearers are: Chase and Eli Merryman.
