Nellie Mclain

Mrs. McLain passed away Friday, January 25, 2019. Born in Saluda County, SC. She was the daughter of the late Pierce and Carrie Bell Butler. She retired from Springs Industries of Columbia after 44 years of service. Mrs. McLain was well known for her homemade biscuits and chocolate pies.

Mrs. McLain is survived by her son, Donald Wayne McLain of Columbia. She is predeceased by her husband, James (Jim) McLain, her brothers, James E. Butler, Sammy L. Butler, Thomas A. Butler and William P. Butler.

The family would like to extend a “heartfelt” thank you to Mrs. McLain’s personal physician, Dr. Rayam Yousefian and to Dr. Rodney Harrison and the caring and professional staff of the Columbia Heart Center.

Graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Friday, February 1, at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
