Nita Louise Kirrane

Nita Louise Kirrane, 82, of Aiken, SC, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 20, 2008, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Nita Louise Kirrane was born December 6, 1926, in Bloomfield, MO, to John and Iva Bennett Skelton. The family moved to Sikeston, MO where Louise attended school. She graduated from Sikeston High School in 1944.

She married Bernard Delano Del Kirrane in 1952. They resided in Kansas City, MO where Louise worked all of her professional life for Bayer Corporation.

She retired and moved to Aiken in 1990 where her brother, Lowell Skelton, and his wife, Dora Ann, retired. During her retirement years Louise enjoyed the closeness of family and friends, traveling, golfing, cards, cross-word puzzles, and reading.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister-in-law, and her beloved dogs Bonnie, Squeegie, and Lindy, and her cat, Gypsy.

She is survived by her brother, Lowell Skelton, of Aiken; two nieces, Linda Louise Biggs of Lexington, SC, and Carla D. Galloway of Sioux City, IA; 5 grand-nephews, and her very good friend, Nina Syzmonski of Aiken.

A memorial service and interment will be at a later date. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Aiken is assisting Louise's family with arrangements.
