Norma Benton Keisler, 89, of Batesburg, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2026, following a brief illness. Born in Aiken, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Virginia Whitlock Corder. Mrs. Keisler spent many years farming alongside her husband, and together they owned and operated Keisler Plumbing. She was a member of Hulon Baptist Church.
Mrs. Keisler was an avid Clemson football fan and especially enjoyed taking her family to Clemson games. She also loved traveling and going on cruises, creating many special memories with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Virginia Benton Holzwarth and Maria Benton Hite (Marty); grandchildren, C.J. Zeh (Andrea), Chris Rikard, Sonya Blizzard (A.J.), Cynthia Goff (Bobby), Leroy Walker (Noelle), Andy Parrish, and Leila Parrish; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Keisler is also survived by her stepson, Paul Keisler, and many extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde Benton; her late husband, Buck Keisler; son, Spencer Benton; sisters, Ruth Ellen Ray and Jean Waters Starling; brother, Ronald Corder; and grandson, Billy Parrish.
The service for Mrs. Keisler will be held at 3 o'clock on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Batesburg-Leesville Chapel, with the Rev. Barry Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Kneece Cemetery on Military Circle. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service, from 2 until 3 o'clock, in the chapel, and other times at Mrs. Keisler's home from 1 until 5 PM; tomorrow and Monday.
