Norris "Pete" Maroney Jr.

Norris "Pete" Maroney, Jr., 68, of Batesburg, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023. Mr. Maroney was born in Aiken, SC, a son of Ellie Mae Asbill Maroney and the late Norris Maroney, Sr. He was a member of Amick Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are his loving former wife, Karen Mitchell Maroney; sons, Jerry and Luke Maroney; and grandsons, Tanner and Treyson. Also surviving are his mother, Ellie Mae Maroney; sisters, Phyllis Kelly, Cathy Maroney, Pamela Boatwright (Bryan); and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Louie Jeffcoat.

The funeral service for Mr. Maroney will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Monday, October 16th, at Amick Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Rev. Preston Foxworth will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 3:00 until 4:00 P.M. at the church. Active pallbearers will be: Bobby Goff, Danny Bowling, Chase Bowling, Carlos Epting, Ricky Mitchell, Wesley Padgett, Rhett Addy and Frank Maroney.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Amick Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2090 Batesburg Highway, Batesburg, SC 29006.
