Onlee Ricard McGee, 94, of Leesville, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026. Born in Gilbert, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Bointon Randolph and Aloth Black Ricard. She was married to the late Grady A. McGee.
Onlee was a devoted member of St. James Lutheran Church of Summit, where she enjoyed participating in the handbell choir. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially quilting, tending to her flowers, and working in her yard. She also had a special love for cats. Onlee had a loving heart and enjoyed sharing her affection with others through what she fondly called her “Jesus Hugs.” These special hugs were just one of the many ways she shared her love and faith with those around her.
Surviving are her children, Daniel McGee, Leona Dowd (Calvin), and Sheila DeLoach (Jerry); daughter-in-law, Dorothy McGee (Felder); 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are her sisters, Mary Padgett, Lynette Black, Lou Ellen Foster, and Marie Hodge. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, James Timothy McGee and Felder McGee; brothers, Wilson Ricard, Brenton Ricard, Charles Ricard, and Samuel Ricard; and sisters, Juanita Taylor and Janie Ruth McRee.
The funeral service for Onlee will be held at 11 o'clock on Thursday, September 24th, at St. James Lutheran Church, with Pastor Jim Glander officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock on Wednesday, September 23rd, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Batesburg-Leesville Chapel. Active pallbearers will be: Brian McGee, Kyle McGee, Hunter McGee, Jonathan Anderson, Allan Anderson, and Connor McGee.
