Orlena Neomi Smith

Orlena Neomi Hallman Smith, 91, of Batesburg, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 27, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Enon Lutheran Church Cemetery with Rev. Andrew Fallaw and Rev. Jacob Hallman officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Fallaw, Shawn Fallaw, Trenton Cromer, Darnell Miller, Wayne Mitchell and Tim Sinnott. Honorary pallbearers will be Junior Miller, Glenn Shumpert and Denver Cromer.

Mrs. Smith was born in Batesburg, SC, daughter of the late Willie Jacob and Carrie Louisa Oswalt Hallman. She was married to the late Walter A. Smith. Mrs. Smith was a former member of Mt. Ebal Baptist Church before moving to Enon Lutheran Church with her husband.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Marion (Patti) Smith of Lexington; grandchildren, Michael (Candice) Smith of Lexington; Brian (Jolene) Smith of Batesburg; and great grandchildren, Tony and Mason Smith. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Maggie (Lee) Johnson, G.R. (Mae) Hallman, and Delbert (Cleo) Hallman.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Monday, March 26, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, other times at the home of her son.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agape Hospice House or a charity of one’s choice. The family would like to give a special thanks to her caregivers, Mary Addy, Vanessa Jackson, Velma Fallaw, Day Break, Carolina Gardens and Agape Hospice House.
