Pamela Diane Burgess

Pamela Diane Burgess, 70, of Batesburg, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Ruby Alewine. She was married to the late Phillip Dwight Burgess.

Pamela enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially tending to her yard and flowers. She had a creative spirit and found great joy in crafting, particularly making beaded necklaces. She cherished time spent with those she loved and will be remembered for her caring heart and the special memories she created with her family.

Surviving are her sons, Donald Larry McCormick, Jr. (Sandra), Richard Kelly McCormick, Phillip "Phil" D. Burgess, and Christopher Dane Burgess; grandchildren, Conner McCormick and Deeanna McCormick; siblings, Patricia Burgess (Dale), Jimmy Alewine (Ruth), JoAnn Durst (Butch), Kim Alewine (Kat), Paula Parks (Hugh), Linda Harmon (Roger), and Danielle Klein (Ken); as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mandy Harmon.

The funeral service to celebrate Pamela will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10th, at Hulon Baptist Church, with burial immediately following in the church cemetery. Reverend Barry Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
