Funeral services for Patricia B. "Grandma Pat" Chapman will take place Sunday, October 5, 2008 at 2pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken with Rev. David Young officiating. Pallbearers will be Lee Young, Tommy Young, Anthony Mitchell, Matthew Mitchell, Micheal Zielinski and Ray Zielinski. Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Bates, Wesley Mann and Frank Fernandes. Interment will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society 128 Stonemark Ln. Columbia, SC 29210.

Mrs. Chapman, 72, of Aiken, died Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

A daughter of the late Daniel L. and Florence Needham Byrne, she was born in Cleveland, OH, living there until moving to Aiken in 1966. She had worked as the Office Manager for Jackson Hewitt Tax Service, Aiken. "Grandma Pat" also was the owner of Park Ave Lanes in Aiken and had been the Bookstore Manager at Aiken Technical College where she worked from 1987 to 1999.

Known as a great mother and a famous bowler, she was a former Board of Director's member and secretary of the Aiken Woman's Bowling League.

Mrs. Chapman is survived by three sons; Danny Dottie Zielinski, Aiken, Steve Ronica Zielinski, Edgefield, SC, and Walter Fay Zielinski, Aiken, two daughters; Vicki Rev. David Young, Aiken and Michele Florence, Aiken, a brother; James Byrne, Aiken and two sisters; Virginia Bastulli, Cleveland, OH and Colleen Byrne, Aiken. Grandma Pat is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
