Patricia Ann Gossett

Patricia "Patty" Ann Gossett, 75, of Leesville, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 28, 2025. Born in Muskegon, Michigan, Patty was the daughter of the late Willie Roy and Joyce Lucille Lipton Hair. A talented and passionate artist, she found joy in painting, cooking, and spending time in nature. She especially cherished her visits to the Smoky Mountains, a place that brought her peace and inspiration.

Above all, Patty deeply loved her family, and her kind spirit and creativity will be remembered by all who knew her.

Surviving are her devoted husband of 30 years, Mark Gossett; sons, Buddy W. Smith (Camie) and David Jirel; and grandchildren, Brandon Sloan, Cory Sloan, Nate Griffin, Emily Rose, and Casey Smith. She is also survived by her siblings, Billy Hair (Tina) and Susan Hair Herman (Bill); along with many extended family members. In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her beloved daughter and first born, Nichole “Nikki” Diane Griffin.

A memorial service to celebrate Patty’s life will be held at 1 o’clock on Saturday, August 2nd, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at noon. Guests are encouraged to dress casually and comfortably.
