Patrick Gordon Scott

AIKEN, SC – Patrick “Rick” Scott, age 74, passed away at his residence on September 22, 2021.

Rick was born in California on October 7, 1946, to the late Col. Gordon H. Scott and Patricia Donohoe Scott.

Rick was a rancher and loved his work and farm. He was a true gentleman in an era when such men are not easily found. He loved music, especially singing and playing the guitar. He also enjoyed watching polo and the camaraderie that transpired on and around the polo field. He and his wife, Therese, formerly of Colorado, moved to the Aiken area in 1999.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, and by his brother, Michael Scott. He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Therese; his children, Melissa Garcia (Brian) and Michael Scott (Lacey); his grandchildren Hunter and Connor Garcia; two sisters, Pam Scott Soapes (Donnie) and Colleen Moore (Pat); a brother, Brian Scott; and his canine companion, Skye.
