Peggie S. Olcott

Funeral services for Mrs. Peggie Smith Olcott will take place on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 2pm at St. John's United Methodist Church Richland & Newberry with the Reverend Dr. George Howle officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, from 6-8pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken. Mrs. Olcott, 75, of Aiken, died Sunday May 4, 2008 at University Hospital in Augusta, GA.

An Aiken native, she was the daughter of the late Carmel and Juinita Yonce Smith. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend who found purpose in caring for others. In recent years, she took delight in being an integral part of the lives of her triplet granddaughters. Throughout her life, she was an active member of the United Methodist Church

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by an infant daughter, Amelia Ann. She is survived by her husband, Roland Olcott, daughter, Tracey Van Smith, Aiken; brother, Don Linda Smith, North Augusta; and three granddaughters, Abigail Smith, Madelyn Smith, and Jessica Smith.
