Phyllis Pope

Phyllis Parker Pope entered into God's Rest on Thursday April 3, 2008 at her home. At her request there will be no formal viewing or visitation. A graveside service will be held privately. George Funeral Home and Cremation Center 211 Park Ave, SW, Aiken is assisting the family.

Born in Oxford, NC, she was the daughter of the late Roy and

Alice Morton Cates.

In addition to her parents, she is also predeceased by two brothers. Mrs. Pope is survived by her husband, William Ray Pope, Aiken; her son,

Gregory Parker, Aiken; her daughter, Darlene P. Smith, Virginia; two

step-sons; David Pope, Jeffrey Pope, both of Greensboro, NC; two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Phyllis is also survived by five brothers, and three sisters and several brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.
