Rebecca Ann Kitchens

Rebecca Ann "Becky" Kitchens, 69, of West Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late John E. and Eunice R. Jordan. Becky was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was known for her kind heart, generous spirit, and the way she always put others before herself. Family and friends meant everything to her, and she cherished the time she spent with those she loved.

She found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially tending to her flowers, watching the birds, and caring for her beloved pets, Mick, Harley, and Cosmo. Becky had a special love for animals and a gentle nature that made people feel welcome and cared for. And anyone who truly knew her knew that she was a devoted Bob Dylan fan.

Surviving are her devoted husband of 50 years, Russell Kitchens; daughter, Ashley Kitchens; son, Cody Kitchens; niece, Alexis Lupinski (William); cousin, Brenda Fraley; and her lifelong best friend, Cindy Bailey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Denise Jordan McCoy.

In accordance with Becky's wishes, no formal services will be held at this time. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
