Robert Miles Beckwith Jr

October 23, 1959 — December 31, 2025

Aiken

Bobby’s life was deeply tied to Daybreak Farm, where he cared for the horses for 18 years to the day. He worked seven days a week, 365 days a year—rain, shine, snow, ice, or sleet—and he never missed a day at the farm, even as his health declined. Bobby loved the farm and all the horses he cared for. He was particularly fond of the barn cats, especially his favorite, Trouble, and always made sure his bowl stayed full.

No one could dispute how much he loved the farm and the horses, and they loved him back.

Bobby had many interests and was never at a loss for conversation with visitors. From sports to politics to his sometimes questionable jokes, he always had something on his mind. He was a voracious reader, with stacks of books from his favorite author, John Sandford. He watched the weather like a hawk, earning the nickname “Doppler Bobby.” He was a smart and generous man who would give the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. Bobby loved rock and roll and would jam out in the barn on his days off when he had the place to himself.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Sharon Dunn Beckwith; his daughter, Heather Dunn; and his friends and family at Daybreak Farm and the Sizemore Road neighbors.

Per Bobby's wishes, no services will be held.
