Robert Lewis Boatwright

Robert Lewis Boatwright, 75, of Batesburg, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Born in Batesburg, South Carolina, he was a son of the late William and Beatrice Ridlehoover Boatwright.

Robert was a natural athlete and especially loved playing baseball. He was a devoted Elvis Presley fan and faithfully cheered for the Carolina Gamecocks, even if they tested his patience from time to time. More than anything, Robert enjoyed being around people. He never met a stranger and could turn just about anyone into a friend with a simple conversation and his welcoming smile.

Surviving are his sons, Eric Boatwright and Brad Boatwright; grandchildren, Jackson Boatwright and Sarah Boatwright; siblings, Larry Boatwright and Vickie B. Woods; niece, Tiffany Leach; and great nephews, Dylan Leach and Tyler Leach.

Robert will be remembered for his friendly smile, his love of talking with people, and the way he made everyone feel like a friend.

In accordance to Robert's wishes, no formal services will be held at this time. Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Batesburg-Leesville Chapel, is assisting the Boatwright family.
