Mr. Patterson, 76, of Monetta, died Sunday, June 1, 2008 at Pepper Hill Nursing Center.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Lemuel and Ellen Sauwers Patterson. He moved to Monetta in 1991 from Philadelphia, PA. He owned Patterson Stables for twenty three years, where he raced and trained horses. He loved to fish, bowl, riding and taking care of horses.

In addition he was predeceased by his wife Genevieve Patterson. He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Patterson, Philadelphia, PA; Jane Mitchell, Monetta, SC; Theresa Carlos Ramirez, Eddystone, PA; Antonia Francis Strobel, Jacqueline Vincent Merrill, both of Philadelphia; son, Robert Patterson, Claymont, DE; grandchildren, Genevieve Sims, James Mitchell, Amanda Mitchell, Ronald Patterson, Christopher Patterson, Kimberly Patterson, Erik Ramirez, Staci Ramirez, Reina Strobel, Francis Strobel, Ashley Strobel, great grandchildren, Alexis Sims, D.J. Sims, Amy Austin.
