Ronnie C. Waters

Ronnie C. Waters, 76, of Leesville, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Jimmie Waters and Mattie Belle Bedenbaugh Waters. Ronnie dedicated many years of service to J.B. Martin before retiring from Ridge LP Gas.

A devoted family man, Ronnie enjoyed spending time with his loved ones and creating lasting memories with those around him. He was an avid softball player who continued playing into his forties and later shared his love of the game by coaching his grandsons and many other young athletes throughout the community. He was also a faithful supporter of Gamecock athletics and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams. Above all, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose kindness, guidance, and unwavering love enriched the lives of all who knew him.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Teresa Frye Waters; daughters, Rhonda Salter and Carla Trotter (Robert); grandchildren, Cody Salter, Cale Salter, Chet Salter, Carson Trotter, Leann Davis (Alex), and Shannon Johnson (Dustin).

A private graveside service for Mr. Waters will be held at Ridge Crest Memorial Park. Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Batesburg-Leesville Chapel, is assisting the family.
