Roswitha Zemko

AIKEN, SC – Roswitha Zemko, age 88, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2024 at Barclay House of Aiken.

Omi, as she was affectionately called, was born February 15, 1936, in Podersam, Czech Republic. After marrying the love of her life in Germany, they settled in the United States in 1955. Before settling in Aiken in 2002, She had previously lived in Glenside, PA and San Jose, CA. Omi was very talented at crocheting and loved making baby blankets.

In addition to her parents and a sister, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephan Zemko.

Survivors include a sister ,Heidi Terhorst of Germany, and her daughter, Patricia Zunino (Mario) of Aiken, SC; grandchildren, Stefani McCrackin (Joseph) of Florence, SC, Phillip Zunino (Kelly) of John’s Island, SC, and Megan Zunino of Aiken, SC; great-grandchildren, Jett, Miles, Hunter, and Riley.

Funeral Liturgy will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 14, 2024 in The George Funeral Chapel. Private interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be beloved family members.
