Roy Chamberlain Wright, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025, at the age of 91, in Aiken, South Carolina. Roy's journey began on March 8, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York, where he was born to his late parents, Ephraim and Nettie Wright.
  
  
  A dedicated serviceman, Roy proudly served his nation in the United States Air Force within the esteemed 531st Fighter Bomber Squadron, stationed in Chambley, France. His commitment to duty was paralleled by his work as a Financial Accountant, a profession that he pursued with integrity and diligence.
  
  
  Roy made his home in Aiken, SC, where he was an active community member. He was a long-standing volunteer with Christ Central, an organization close to his heart, and a cherished member of the Cedar Creek Men's Golf Club, where he spent countless hours enjoying the camaraderie and competition.
  
  
  Roy is survived by his devoted wife, Gail Andrea Wright, who shared his life and joys. His legacy lives on through his beloved children and their families: Chris Wright and his wife Sandy of Greenville, SC; Roy Wright, Jr. and his wife Donna of Delaware; and Keith Wright and his wife Lori of Parsippany, NJ. He is fondly remembered by his stepchildren, Joseph Norton of Boise, ID; Timothy Norton and his wife Carolyn of Franklin, KY; and Denise Norton and her husband Lawlor of Aiken, SC. Roy was a proud grandfather to eleven grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his days.
  
  
  A memorial service for Mr. Wright will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 1:00pm in the sanctuary of Grace Church, 144 Talatha Church Road, Aiken, SC 29803.
