Ruby G. Wilson, 78, of Batesburg, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026. Born in Saluda County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late T. W. and Nannie Lou Davis Gulledge. Ruby had a deep love for working with flowers and caring for animals, especially her beloved dogs. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, who brought her so much joy.

She is survived by her children, Danny McCormick (Robin), Patricia Lovette, Betty Torres (Gerardo), Billy Joe McCormick, and David Wilson; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, James Frank Gulledge (Betty). In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her former husband, Henry McCormick; grandson, Henry Lovette; and siblings, Thomas Gulledge, Troy Gulledge, and Mattie Bell Renew.

A funeral service to honor Ruby’s life will be held at 3:00 o'clock on Thursday, February 12th, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Batesburg-Leesville Chapel, with interment following at Clyde’s Chapel Southern Methodist Church Cemetery. The Reverend Robert Culbertson will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Active pallbearers will be Rodger McCormick, Danny McCormick, Jr., Christopher McCormick, Shane Baker, Jason Dingler, and Bobby McGee.
