Sara Agnes Rodgers Goff went home to be with the Lord at the age of 88 on Monday, April 28, 2025.
Agnes was born in Saluda County, a daughter of the late Cagey Fleming and Sara Gertrude Hallman Rodgers. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, S. Donald Goff; youngest brother, Stephen Rodgers; and son-in-law, Freddie Beck.
Agnes was a graduate of Ridge Spring Monetta High School, where she was a majorette in the band and captain of the girls basketball team. She retired from Union Switch and Signal and was a member of West Creek Baptist Church. Agnes loved her family, her garden and the Lord. She always attended every game, recital, or ceremony for her children and grandchildren. She grew her own vegetables and landscaped her lawn into a work of art. Agnes always thanked the Lord for her blessings.
The world was a more beautiful place with Agnes Goff in it.
She is survived by sons and daughters, Mike Goff (Meri) , Glenn Goff, Windy Goff Beck, and Brenda Goff Kosnosky; grandchildren, Lyle Goff, Sara Kosnosky, Will Kosnosky and Claire Goff. Also surviving are her brothers, Brunson Rodgers (Lois), Roy Rodgers (Robin), Andrew Rodgers (Rosalyn), Phillip Rodgers (Patricia); sisters, Betty "Dolly" Hall (Donald), Phyllis Rollins (Roberts; and sister-in-law, Joyce Rodgers; as well as thirteen nieces and nephews and twenty four great nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Agnes will be held at 11 o'clock on Thursday, May 1st at West Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Hinton and Rev. Joseph Hallman will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10 o'clock in the church.
