Savannah Mae Hall Corder, 96, of Batesburg, slipped quietly into the presence of the Good Shepherd, in which she had placed her trust earlier in her life, on Saturday, November 7th, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Tuesday, November 10th, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Gunter Cemetery with Rev. Earl Hartley officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside. With the current COVID-19 pandemic, we encourage attendees to wear a mask and social distance during the funeral services.
Mrs. Corder was born in Batesburg, SC, on May 24, 1924, and was a daughter of the late Clinton and Rose Ellen Green Hall. She was a member of Old Samaria Baptist Church. She was married to the late John Etheridge Corder.
Surviving are her sons, Roy Corder and Ronald (Debra) Corder; sister, Alice Pilot; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, William “Buck” (Judy) Corder; son, Marvin (Joyce) Corder; son, James (Vickie) Corder; a daughter; grandson, Tracy Corder; sisters, Alberta Sease, Eunice Watson, Eugena Spearlock, and Beatrice Jeffcoat; and brothers, Lance Hall and Clinton (Sonny) Hall.
