Sharon Floyd Szatkowski

Funeral services for Mrs. Sharon Floyd Szatkowski will be on Monday, June 22, 2009 at 300pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken with Rev. John Huff officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-3pm. Interment will take place at Pine View Memorial Gardens and will be private for family members. Memorial Donations may be directed to The American Cancer Society 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.

Mrs. Szatkowski, 68, of Aiken, died Thursday, June 18, 2009 at her residence. A daughter of the late John Nathan Floyd and Irene Moody Floyd, she was born in Reidsville, NC and raised in Augusta. She had lived in Aiken County since 1963, except for a short period of time spent in Florida. During the 1970's-1980's, she was the owner/operator of The Hairdresser Salon in Martinez, GA. In addition to her family, she enjoyed genealogy, gardening and writing.

In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband, Eugene Szatkowski.

She is survived by her daughters; Gail Szatkowski, Angela Snelling, Donna Kooy and Vonja Huff, grandchildren; Tazia Korb, Alysaun Huff, Kevin Huff, Kelly Huff, Kaitlyn Henderson, Brieanna Snelling and great grandson, Konor Korb, sister; Karen Brumfield, and companion, Joseph Walt.
