Shawn P. Daugherty

A Memorial Service for Shawn Patrick Daugherty will take place on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 7pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken with Mr. Rev. Bob Waters officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service. Mr. Daugherty, 41, of Aiken, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at his residence.

A son of Brent and Caren Mahony Daugherty, he was born in Wilmington, DE and had lived in Aiken since 1980. He was a 1987 graduate of South Aiken High School and a graduate of USC Aiken. He was employed as a radiological technician with the TFE Corporation of North Augusta and worked at the Savannah River Site. Shawn had a free spirit with a tremendous love for history, music, the outdoors, his friends and above all, his children and family. He will be sadly missed by all.

He is survived by his parents; Brent & Caren Daugherty, Aiken, SC, a son; William Randall Daugherty, Newnan, GA, a daughter; Lilly Annabelle Daugherty, Newnan, GA, a brother; Brian Daugherty, his wife, Amy and their son, Connor, Aiken, SC, a sister; Jennifer Fink, her husband Chad and their son, Logan, Hartsville, SC and grandmothers; Carol Daugherty, Greenville, NC and Carol Mahony, Washington's Crossing, PA. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
