Sidney Arthur Shirey

Sidney Arthur Shirey, 74, of Batesburg, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024 surrounded by his family. Mr. Shirey was born on February 6, 1950 in Lansing, MI. He served in the United States Navy, worked at Pepsi, was the owner of S&S Party Store and S&S Pizza and Subs in Bath, MI. Sidney and his wife, Sally, retired to Batesburg, SC. He enjoyed remodeling houses alongside his family and taking motorcycle trips with his wife.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Sally Shirey; children, Christopher Shirey (Mary), Nathan Coffey (Brandy), Mandy Dunham, Karie Larner (JD), Sidney Shirey Jr., Matthew Shirey (Cheyenne), Jesse Osbun-Shirey, and Heather Osbun-Shirey; twenty-two grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings, Shirley Shirey-Karn, and Chuck Benner (Chris). He was preceded in death by his father, Don Shirey; mother and step-father, Helen Shellito Benner (Rusty); son, Steven Allen Shirey; siblings, Don Jr., Keith and Sandy; and grandson, Johnathan Herlein.

A private family service will be held for Sidney at a later date.
