Sula Shaw Lopez, 68, of Saluda, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Born in Newberry, SC, she was the daughter of the late Sula Rankin Shaw and Lois Geraldine Jackson Shaw. Sula was a graduate of Saluda High School. She will be remembered for the love she had for her family and the special place she held in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are her children, Jesus Elizondo and Christina Rodriguez; grandchildren, Kaden Goff, Jayden Goff, Lily Elizondo, Alaya Elizondo, and Olivia Goff; granddogs, Shadow and Aztec Rodriguez; siblings, Sandra Black (Mike) and Thomas Shaw (Pam); nephews, Anthony and Adam Black; and niece, Jessica Wash; along with extended family members and dear friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Sula's life will be held at a later date. Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Batesburg-Leesville Chapel, is serving the Lopez family.
