Graveside services for Mrs. Sybil June Skipper Carlisle will be held on Friday, March 20, 2009 at 3pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be David Funderburk, Joe Funderburk, Ronnie Skipper, Sr., Johnny Skipper, Jr., Buddy Davis, Darryl Whitman, Jason Carlisle and David Lee Skipper. The family will receive friends at the home of her brother, Johnny Skipper tonight. Memorial contributions may be directed to George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave, SW, Aiken, SC, 29801.

Mrs. Carlisle, 57, of Aiken, died Tuesday March 17, 2009 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

A lifelong resident of Aiken, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Rosa Lee Davis Skipper. Sybil was a homemaker and very active in The Salvation Army Church. She was in the Home League of the Salvation Army, a Boy Scout leader, Girl Guard Leader, and started the Angel Tree in Aiken.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Samuel Skipper. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Carlisle, Sr., son, Gerald Leslie Carlisle, Jr., Aiken, step-son, Leslie Alvin Carlisle, Jacksonville, FL, brothers, Curtis Skipper, Johnny Skipper, sister, Louis Skipper-Funderburk, grandchildren, Jason Carlile, Tori Carlile, Kalee Carlisle, and step-grandsons, Leslie Carlisle and William Carlisle.
