Sylvia Jennings Fallaw Maroney, 93, of Batesburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
Born in Batesburg, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Bazzey “Dump” Jennings and Sally Frances Warren Jennings. Sylvia was the beloved wife of the late Turner Fallaw and Cole Maroney.
A devoted member of Worship Fellowship Church of God (formerly Batesburg Church of God), for over 50 years, Sylvia’s faith was a guiding force in her life. She found joy in tending to her flowers and spending quiet moments with a good book.
Sylvia loved her family above all else. She is survived by her devoted daughters and sons-in-law; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and a host of cherished friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons and siblings.
A private funeral service will be held to honor and celebrate Sylvia’s life. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
