Thelma Boyd Cooper Huff

Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma Boyd Cooper Huff will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2007 at 2pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave, SW, Aiken with Rev. Scott Bell officiating. Interment will follow in Chime Bell Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dennis Boyd, Robbie Boyd, Jamie Boyd, Brandon Boyd, Eddie Gantt, Butchy Burch, Brian Burch, and Andy Spoon. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Zielinski, and George Hook. The family will receive friends tonight at the funeral home from 6-8pm. Memorial contribution may be directed to The American Lung Association, 61 Broadway, New York, NY, 10006.

Mrs. Huff, 71, of Warrenville, died Thursday at her residence.

Born in New Ellenton, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Mille Ryles Boyd. She lived in the Aiken area all her life. She was raised by her grandmother, Eleanor Boyd. She was a member of New Creations Baptist Church, Evans, GA. Thelma loved to cook, sew, embroider, and bowling.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son Robby Haywood, Jr., brother, Freddie Boyd, sister-in-law, Eunice Boyd. She is survived by her husband, Johnnie Huff, daughter, Pamn Haywood Ronn Carpenter, N. Augusta, brothers, Perry Boyd, Hubert Boyd, Wallace Boyd, Wyman Boyd, Mark White, sister, Millie Gantt, grandchildren, Jessica Hook Young, Sandi J. Hook, Danielle ?Dani? Zielinski, great grandchildren, Haleigh Young, Brittany Young, Hana Hook, and Amaya Hook.
