Tobie S. Plunkett, 83, of Monetta, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026. Tobie was born in Joanna, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Elvin and Lillian Stevens. She was a devoted member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, where her faith and love for her church family were evident to all who knew her.

Tobie had a creative spirit and found great joy in planning events and weddings, creating beautiful flower arrangements, gardening, and spending time on arts and crafts. Above all, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren, whom she adored deeply and loved being with whenever possible.

Surviving are her husband, Chester A. Plunkett; daughter, Donna M. Barker (James); son, Morgan Reynolds (Deborah); step-daughters, Deborah Richardson (Tim) and Jan Rutland (Billy); 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Deborah Eleslie Reynolds and brother, Neal Stevens.

The funeral service for Tobie will be held at 3 o'clock on Sunday, January 4th at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with a private burial following. Rev. Vollie Gibbs will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 2 o'clock.

Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Batesburg-Leesville Chapel is assisting the family.
