Tommie Louis Welch Sr., 72, of Windsor, SC, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17th, 2024, at his residence.
He was born on Tuesday, October 9th, 1951, in Augusta, Georgia, a son of the late Louis Harmon & Pearl Turner Welch. Mr. Welch lived most of his life in the Aiken Community. Tommie was a retired machinist at Southeastern Tool and served his country in the Army. Tommie was passionate about hunting and NASCAR racing which he shared with his sons. Tommie was a loving husband, father & grandfather. His life was marked by his dedication to his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Melyenda Welch; two sons, Tommie Louis (Summer) Welch Jr. of Aiken and Michael Leon (Kelly) Welch of Aiken; two stepdaughters, Amanda Stephens of Windsor and Lyndsey Saxon of Windsor; grandchildren, Johnathan Nelson, Olivia Fitch, Savanna Welch, Nevaeh Welch, Levi Welch, Marshall Welch, Shawn Anderson, Denton Saxon, and Liam Saxon.
In addition to his parents, Tommie was preceded in death by his first wife, Vicki Lee Gregory Welch and 2 sons, Jeremy Jones and Daniel Welch.
In lieu of funeral services, the family will be mourning quietly at home.
