Trudie Temple, 87, of Batesburg, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025. Born in Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late Albert Sidney and Flaucy Belle Matthews Black. She was married to the late Claude William Temple. Trudie loved the Lord and reading her Bible. She enjoyed gardening and spending time in her yard.

She is survived by her sister, Evelyn America Black Hall; daughter-in-law, Pamela Lee Matthews Temple; grandchildren, Christopher Gene Adkins, Jessica Shannon Temple, and Oliver Joeshie Temple; and great-grandchildren, Miya Nichole Williams, Bryston Patrick Williams, Camron Marcus Williams, Amora Joanne Adkins, and Avianna Jane Adkins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her children, Carl Eugene Temple, Terry Lynn Temple, Albert Jacob Temple, and Claude Joseph Temple; grandson, Joshua Sidney Temple; and sisters, Minnie Lee Black Epting and Bertha Matilda Black Fulmer.

A memorial service for Mrs. Temple will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 7th, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home with the Rev. John Samol and Rev. Harry Collins officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
