Wendolyn Reagin Mason, 86, of Aiken, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2026. Born on December 15, 1939, in Hazlehurst, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Aaron Reagin and Bonnie Cleo Quinn Reagin.
Mrs. Mason was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every opportunity to spend time with her children and especially treasured visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her home was often filled with warmth, laughter, and the aroma of a home-cooked meal, as she loved preparing Sunday dinners and bringing her family together around the table.
A woman with many talents and interests, Mrs. Mason had a special love for gardening and caring for plants, finding peace and happiness in watching flowers bloom and birds visit her yard. She also enjoyed refinishing antiques, giving new life to old treasures through her patience and creativity. Her kind heart, nurturing spirit, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
Surviving are her son, Gregory Mason; daughter, Elaine Platt (Bryan); grandchildren, Ashley Nicole, Julie Anne (Brandon), and Robert Leary; great-grandchildren, Kassiah, Leah, Jack, Jaycie, and Oakley; brothers, Ronald Reagin (Nancy), Michael Reagin (Kim), and Dennis Reagin (Jennifer); sister, Sonya Wodicka (Dave); along with many beloved extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, David Ralph Mason.
The graveside service to celebrate Mrs. Mason's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Southlawn Aiken's Premier Cemetery in Aiken, South Carolina, with Mr. Mike Reagin officiating. Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Aiken Chapel, is serving Mrs. Mason's family.
