William Mabus, Jr.

William Dowie Mabus, Jr., 66, of Aiken, passed peacefully on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. Born in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late William Dowie Mabus, Sr. and June Buff Mabus. William had a love for classic cars and was a member of Redds Branch Baptist Church of Aiken. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Delena Griffith Mabus; daughters, Adrian Dorrough, Tiffany Mabus, Amber Mabus-Hearing and Delena Henry; grandchildren, Rhett, Ella, James Jr., and Zayda. He is also survived by his brother, Timothy Mabus; a sister, Tammy Roberts; as well as many extended family members.

A memorial service for Mr. Mabus will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, January 7th at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 607 S. Bethlehem Road, Batesburg, SC. The family will receive friends following the service.
